DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo Review
A Family-Friendly Hotel Stay Near Seoul with Kids
We stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo for a weekend family trip with our toddler. Located in Pangyo, just outside Seoul, this hotel felt more like a comfortable family stay than a luxury hotel getaway.
This hotel is located about 40–50 minutes from central Seoul by car, making it a convenient weekend getaway for families.
With an indoor pool, kid-friendly breakfast options, and convenient access from Seoul, it turned out to be a surprisingly good choice for families traveling with children. It also works well for parents combining a Pangyo business trip with a short family getaway.
Hotel Information
- Check-in: 3:00 PM
- Check-out: 11:00 AM
- Indoor Pool: No reservation required
- Breakfast: Demeter Restaurant (1F), 6:30 AM – 10:30 AM
The hotel is located right in the middle of Pangyo’s tech district, which makes driving in and out very straightforward, and we noticed plenty of families staying for the weekend.
Check-in & the DoubleTree Welcome Cookie
We arrived around 3 PM and waited about 20 minutes before checking in. Since it was a weekend, the lobby was busy with families and couples staying for short trips.
One thing that immediately stood out was the famous DoubleTree welcome cookie.
Honestly, we didn’t expect much, but it was surprisingly good. The warm cookie was filled with chocolate chips and walnuts, and our child loved it right away.
The welcome cookie alone made the check-in feel special — our toddler still talks about it!
King Room Review
We stayed in a standard king room. The room size was comfortable for two adults and one child, with enough space to open luggage and relax without feeling cramped.
The bed and bedding were clean and comfortable, and the room overall felt quiet and well organized.
Room View
Our room faced the road side rather than the city skyline or mountains. The view itself wasn’t particularly luxurious, but it felt open and bright instead of blocked or crowded.
Bathroom & Amenities
Crabtree & Evelyn bath amenities were provided in large refillable bottles, including shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Indoor Pool with Kids
Pool rules to know in advance:
- Swim caps are required
- Regular hats are not allowed
- Tubes and large floaties are restricted
- Guests must remove makeup before entering
The pool itself was family-friendly, and we noticed many parents visiting with children. We used the pool twice during our stay and our child enjoyed both visits a lot.
Breakfast at Demeter
The breakfast experience was one of the stronger points of this hotel for families.
Final Thoughts
DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo may not be the most luxurious hotel near Seoul, but it works very well as a practical and comfortable family-friendly stay.
We would especially recommend it for:
- Families looking for a short getaway near Seoul
- Parents traveling with young children
- Guests wanting an indoor pool hotel with kids
- Business travelers visiting Pangyo with family
It could also pair well with a family visit to Everland, which is within driving distance from Pangyo.
